[Cs-club] Intro. to Programming
I want to have a special meeting sometime that would introduce
programming to people who don't know how to program yet or have
questions about programming in general or just want to improve their
programming skills. Unless someone else wishes to teach this, the
meeting would have to wait until next week. I don't have time to be
able to hold a meeting for this week.
I would like for people who would wish to attend something like this
to email me or the chatter list ( csclubchatter@lists.uwosh.edu ) on
when a good time to have this would be. This would not necessarily be
a one time thing, but something that I (or someone else who wishes to
teach) could do maybe once a month.
I know Dan mentioned this in his email, but if anyone wishes to attend
the Reflections|Projections conference, please go to their web site (
http://www.acm.uiuc.edu/conference/ ), register, and then let us (Dan
or myself) know that you plan on going. We need to get this
information as soon as possible because the conference is coming up
very soon. If you don't know what the conference is about, visit the
web site or come to the meeting tomorrow, we will discuss it there.
Finally, to give everyone a heads up, we need to discuss the Linux
Informfest/Installfest. If you do not know what Linux is, then you
can ignore this part of the email. If you do, and are interested, we
should start planning it soon. The end of October is the time that
Dan and myself discussed for the Informfest/Installfest. It is likely
that we will have the Fond du Lac Linux Users Group involved as well.
