RESIDENT STUDENT SERVICES MANAGER
C £25K pa plus accomm
IES is a US based international study abroad
provider with programmes in 24 cities worldwide. We offer a major
programme in London, where we also own and manage a 300 bed student
residence hall located in Chelsea for our students and those from UK
universities and other education institutions.
We now seek a suitably qualified and experienced person to provide a
range of student support services to the residents of the Hall. The
post-holder will be expected to facilitate intercultural development and
provide support for Hall and local orientation, student well-being,
mentoring, discipline, commercial services and safety issues. They will
develop a vibrant and interesting experience within the Hall through the
delivery of on-site and off-site events and activities. They will be
expected to support and liaise with other key staff in the general
management of the accommodation.
You will participate in the life of the building. So you will be expected
to undertake on-call duties and to work some evenings and weekends. You
will supervise four student Resident Assistants who also live in the
Hall.
The post is residential, for which purpose we provide a single en suite
room in the Hall, at no cost to the post-holder.
We seek someone with an understanding of, and
interest in, post 18 student issues and, ideally, residential experience.
Strong interpersonal skills, IT literacy, sensitivity to diversity
issues, commercial ability, enthusiasm, a bright personality, a flexible
attitude, team approach and supervisory ability.
A job description and person specification are
available from
recruitment@ieslondon.org.uk
where interested applicants should also send a CV together with covering letter. You can see more about the Hall on our website at www.iesreshall.com
