[International] Space Available on Int'l Studies in Nursing and Health!

Dear Student:

You are receiving this message as an announcement that there are still 
seats available on the Nursing and Health in India study abroad program 
(approximately December 29 ~ January 16, 2004) and the Nursing and Health 
in London & Paris program (January 4 ~ January 18, 2004).

India
Join other UW Oshkosh students and faculty in Chennai and New Delhi, India, 
where you will examine nursing, health and health care in a diverse 
culture! Visit medical facilities and universities, including Sri 
Ramachandra Medical College and Research Institute, meet with health care 
officials and attend academic sessions on Unani Medicine (alternative 
medicine).

London & Paris
Join a group of UW Oshkosh students in London and Paris to examine nursing, 
health, and health care issues. Observe first-hand the similarities and 
differences in health care facilities through hospital and health-related 
agency tours. Attend lectures and discussions with English and French 
professionals involved in nursing education, practice and administration of 
nursing and health care. Gain an appreciation for diversity of thought, 
health values and life practices and become familiar with some of the 
internal influences on host country health and health care.

Participants receive credit for the following course, which is open to 
students accepted into the College of Nursing and registered nursing 
students:  International Studies in Nursing (NURSING 415-381; 3 credits) 
Prerequisite: Nursing 315 or consent of instructor.

to UW Oshkosh students, students at other universities and professionals in 
a health-related field.

Applications will be accepted on a first-come, first-served basis until the 
program is full or until airline reservations are finalized.
