THE FRENCH MINISTRY OF EDUCATION
is offering
1,500 TEACHING ASSISTANTSHIP POSITIONS
IN FRENCH PRIMARY & SECONDARY SCHOOLS
to American citizens, between 20 and 30 years of age,
who are pursuing or have pursued a college degree
and have a proficiency in French.

Students without a major or a minor in French but with a basic proficiency in French can also apply.

This is a unique opportunity to:

*       spend 6-9 months in France while earning a salary
*       master the French language through linguistic immersion
*       gain valuable teaching experience

Dates : October 1, 2004 to April 30, 2005
Workload : English conversation classes 12 hours a week

Every year the cultural services of the French Embassy in the United
States is offering 1500 assistantship positions to american students to
teach english for 12h/week in elementary, junior high school or high
school in FRANCE. The positions are available to 20 to 30 years of age
american citizens  who are pursuing or have pursued a college degree and
who have a proficiency in French. Students without a major or a minor in
French but with a basic proficiency in French can also apply.

The applicant will spend 6 to 9 months teaching english (conversations
classes) from october 1st 2004 to a least march 2005. The monthly income
will be 800 dollars after taxes and health insurance deduction.

services in Chicago will be extremely grateful if you could post or
inform your colleagues and students of this program.If you wish to, the
poster can also be posted on your website.
