[International] Peace Corps will be in Oshkosh March 2 & 3



Dear Students:

Interested in travel? Want to make a difference in someone's life? Need job
experience to make yourself more marketable? 

Consider the Peace Corps. 

Whether you are majoring in a liberal arts field, business, education,
information technology, or environmental studies, you can get valuable
experience in the Peace Corps that can further your career.

The meeting will last about an hour and there will be returned Peace Corps
Volunteers present to share their experiences.

Noon - 5:00 p.m.
Stop by our table, pick up information and talk to a recruiter.

If you know you want to apply for the Peace Corps, do so by February 23 and
we can arrange an interview for March 2 or 3.  You can apply online at
www.peacecorps.gov, then give me a call to set up an interview. The
application process can take from 6 to 9 months.

Background Peace Corps Info
The mission of Peace Corps is to promote world peace and friendship by
providing volunteers who contribute to the social, economic and human
development of interested countries, to promote a better understanding of
Americans among the people whom volunteers serve, and to strengthen
Americans' understanding about the world and its peoples.  Peace Corps
Volunteers you travel overseas and make a difference in the lives of real
people.  

Peace Corps is currently in 70 countries around the globe. Volunteers are
overseas for 27 months which includes three months of language, cultural and
job training. All expenses are paid, full medical and dental coverage is
provided, and volunteers receive a readjustment allowance of $6075.00 upon
returning to the United States.  

Peace Corps has programs in Education, Business and Information Technology,
Health and Nutrition, Environment, and Agriculture. Liberal Arts majors, as
well as more specialized majors, are encouraged to apply.
