[International] Study Abroad through UW Oshkosh!!! (information meetings)
Dear International Listserv Member:
Are you planning to
study abroad
through a University of Wisconsin Oshkosh
study abroad program or student exchange program
sometime in 2005?
If so, join us on one of the following dates for an overview of programs
offered through UW Oshkosh and detailed information on the application
process, financial aid and the passport application process.
- 9/16 from 3:00-4:00 in Dempsey 301
- 9/22 from 3:00-4:00 in Dempsey 301
- 9/27 from 3:00-4:00 in Dempsey 301
- 9/29 from 3:00-4:00 in Dempsey 337

How do I apply?
- Download the study abroad application from
http://www.uwosh.edu/oie/faqs.html.
- Return the application, along with the following, to the Office of
International Education (Dempsey 337):
- a copy of your university transcript or grade report with course
prerequisites (if applicable) and final GPA highlighted
- a check, made out to "UW Oshkosh," for the $100 application
fee (see web for refund policy)
- application materials specific to your study abroad program (see your
program's web page for details)
- a copy of your birth certificate (Canada, Mexico & Bermuda
only)
Application Deadlines
- Fall semester programs: 2nd Friday in April
- Winter interim and spring semester programs:
1st Friday in October
- Spring interim: 1st Friday in February
- Summer programs: last Friday in February
- Int?l Summer Universities in Germany: second Friday in February
Applying Your Financial Aid toward Study
Abroad Costs
- File the FAFSA for the appropriate academic year (the summer session
begins the academic year).
- Answer the financial aid questions on the study abroad application.
- Meet with a Financial Aid Counselor to discuss your financial needs
and potential aid package.

Study Abroad Eligibility
- To be eligible, students must have a minimum G.P.A. of 2.5
(faculty-led programs) or 3.0 (exchange programs), be in good standing,
have the consent of the instructor, and meet the eligibility requirements
for any courses being offered abroad. Graduate students must be in full
standing. Additional eligibility requirements may be listed on
individual program pages.
- Students from other universities and community members may apply to
participate on many of the faculty-led study abroad programs.
- Students who do not meet the minimum eligibility requirements should
contact the OIE. In some cases, the eligibility requirements can be
waived.
