[International] Request for Photos for UWIIN website

Please see the request for study abroad photos below.

Colleagues,
Recently,
UW-Green Bay (with support from UW System, UW-Platteville, and UW-Stout)
obtained a State Department/NAFSA grant for the creation of a UW
International Information Network (UWIIN). The Network will include
a website for the sharing of information about international activities
and opportunities among the UW system campuses, Wisconsin K-12 schools,
and communities/businesses.
A website for the network is being
developed. As part of the banners on main pages, we plan to include
student photos of study abroad experiences and photos taken abroad by UW
faculty and staff. Photo subjects can include the individual
submitting the photo, people in other countries, buildings, landmarks,
landscapes, etc.. Photos of multiple American students (for
example) will not be selected due to permission technicalities. If
you are interested in sharing some photos of this nature, please send
digital copies to Jay Harris at
harrisja@uwgb.edu.
All photos should be accompanied by the following information, which will
appear when a cursor touches the photos selected for the website:
- The name of the photographer.
- The name of the place where the photo was taken.
- The UW campus where the student is/was enrolled.
Also required is the following permission, to
be sent directly from students:
?I will allow the use of photos taken during my study abroad experience
to be displayed on the website of the University of Wisconsin
International Information Network.?
For the best display online, we ask that photos
be a minimum of 72 DPI and no smaller than 2 inches by 2 inches.
The photos may be either horizontally or vertically centered. The
deadline to submit pictures is September 8, 2006.
