[International] Recruitment Tours Intern needed with German Background

Recruitment Tours is seeking an intern with a background in German and/or who has studied abroad in Germany. The position begins in a few weeks. For more information, please contact Recruitment Tours directly.

Internship position:  German Recruitment Specialist

Start Date:  September 2006

Recruitment Tours is a division of StudyinBritain.com, founded in 2001. The division is responsible for managing student recruitment operations for our clients - universities, institutions, program providers, and other service organizations in the international education community.

The internship will be focused on student recruitment to a select handful of German Universities/ Programs and the DAAD. There will be approximately two months of travel during September and October to Utah, Alabama, Georgia, Ohio and Illinois. During the off time the position will be home based reporting to the Assistant Director. Intern will be responsible for arranging flights and hotels and must be able to travel efficiently. There is a $1000 stipend plus all travel expenses. This is a great opportunity to network in the field of international education while getting paid to travel. An East Coast based position is preferable with proximity to a major airport.

Internship Description:

   * 3-month Home Based Internship
   * September 5th ­ Approximately December 1 (Flexible)
   * Extensive U.S travel to study abroad fairs on college campuses
* Training sessions prior to the study abroad fairs/ information sessions to become familiar with the various institutions, programs, services, etc. (ability to undergo training in NYC is a plus)
   * Report to the Assistant Director
   * Data entry of inquiries
   * Staff a table at fairs or campuses as scheduled
   * Campus Postering
   * Completed Report on the Tour and Fairs
   * Possible Presentations to students or info sessions
* Assist with other company initiatives/ projects as required during the non-travel periods

The internship position requires someone who possesses excellent organizational and time management skills. It will require a lot of travel so a seasoned traveler is key. The successful candidate must also possess a valid credit card (Auto rentals companies require the driver to have one.) Recruitment Tours will pay all related travel expenses.

Sales ability, experience in the study abroad field and/or student recruitment is desirable. In addition, the position requires someone who is ready to work in a fast-paced environment to communicate information and answer any questions that interested students may have about individual programs, institutions, or services.
