[International] [GEN] ListServ: Update

Dear International Listserv Subscribers,

The Office of International Education has recently made changes to the International Listserv.

Currently, we use the International Listserv to send "general" "information for students on study abroad opportunities, international-related events & opportunities on and off campus, scholarships for study abroad, and international-related job offerings on and off campus."  We have expanded the list to offer, to self-selected users only, "topics" related to specific study abroad programs (e.g. European Odyssey, Spanish and Economics Studies in Peru, etc.).   This will allow any user to receive information related to his/her specific program interests, in addition to the "general" information, if s/he so chooses.

At this point, you, as a listserv user, will continue to ONLY receive "general" information, just as you have in the past. 

To receive information specific to a particular study abroad program, you must complete the following steps.

• Go to http://lists.uwosh.edu/mailman/listinfo/international
• Type in your e-mail address in the textbox next to the heading: "To unsubscribe from International, get a password reminder, or change your subscription options enter your subscription email address".  This should be next to the final text box at the bottom of the page.  Click on "unsubscribe or edit options".
• On the next screen, enter your password.  If you don't remember your password, click on the button titled "remind" (without filling in any other information on the page).  You will receive your password immediately (by email).
• Once you are logged in, scroll down to "Which topic categories would you like to subscribe to?" (about thee quarters of the way down the page)
• The first box titled "GENERAL MAILING" should already be checked for you.  If it isn't, check this box to receive information for students on study abroad opportunities, international-related events & opportunities on and off campus, scholarships for study abroad, and international-related job offerings on and off campus.
• To receive information specific to a particular study abroad program, check the box next to each program of interest. You may check as many or as few boxes as you like.
• Scroll to the bottom of the page and click "Submit My Changes".

If you signed an interest form for the OIE within the last two weeks and you haven�t, within a week, changed your listserv subscription to receive messages related to your program of interest, we will change your subscription for you. 

You may change your subscription or unsubscribe from the listserv at any time following the procedure above.

A note: If you do not check any boxes on the subscription form, or if you uncheck "GENERAL MAILING", you will receive all e-mails on every topic.
