[International] Assistant Director Position - Wheaton College Mass. (INTLJOB)

Wheaton College, located in Norton, Massachusetts, is currently seeking an Assistant Director, Center for Global Education:
*Issue date:* Tuesday, June 24, 2008
*Term:* Full-time, 12 months
*Reports to:* Dean for Global Education
*Description:* The Assistant Director of the Center for Global Education will be responsible for recruiting and advising students on study abroad opportunities and preparing students for the study abroad experience.
Specifically, the Assistant Director will provide individualized counseling on study abroad opportunities, develop and conduct workshops and orientation programs and maintain records on study abroad students.
Will also act as a liaison to partner study abroad institutions.
*Requirements:* B.A. in related field, M.A. completed or near completion preferred. While some experience is preferred, this could be an ideal entry-level position for the appropriate candidate seeking to enter the field of international education. Ability to communicate effectively in written and oral form and strong organizational skills are essential.
Must also have knowledge of basic office, communications and data management software. Facility in a second language and experience living or working abroad is desirable.
