Job Announcement - Program Coordinator

About the Alliance:
The Alliance for Global Education, a partnership of the Arcadia University Center for Education Abroad and the Institute for Study Abroad at Butler University, was formed with the vision of opening non-traditional destinations to an ever-growing and more diverse U.S. undergraduate population. The Alliance provides stimulating, interdisciplinary study abroad programs in China and India.

Position Summary:
The Program Coordinator (PC) will be based in the Washington DC Alliance headquarters and will be responsible for assisting the two Alliance directors in many aspects of the administration of the Alliance study abroad programs.  The PC's primary responsibilities will be to coordinate daily operations of the Alliance Washington office and its programs in China and India, including maintaining website content and photos, writing affiliation agreements, arranging site visits for U.S. advisors and faculty, planning and arranging all aspects of Alliance events at conferences and board meetings, creating promotional materials, managing alumni relations, and other Washington DC office administration.

The successful candidate must be highly flexible and willing and eager to handle such changes in responsibility as are likely to be encountered during the rapid growth of a developing organization.  

Requirements:
. Bachelor's degree required.
. Experience studying or working abroad.
. Experience in the fields of international education and/or higher education.
. Interest in or familiarity with China, India, and/or other Asian or Middle Eastern countries.
. Superior organization, management, communication, and people skills.
. A commitment to the ideals of international education and the mission of opening study abroad destinations to undergraduates in the non-Western world.
