[International] Study Abroad: new on-line application (LCAMBphil; LSTYL; LBRIT; LGERM; LBELI; LMEXI; LSPAI)

Dear Prospective Study Abroad Students:

The Office of International Education is moving from a paper-based study abroad application to a web-based application, available from the APPLY section of your program’s web page.

http://www.uwosh.edu/oie/abroad/destinations/all.php

As of August 11, 2008, the OIE will no longer be accepting paper applications.  If you have already completed your paper application, please submit this by August 8 or use it to complete the on-line version.

With our move to the on-line system, we have also changed the process for assigning seats on our programs.  Beginning on August 11, all applicants must submit all required paperwork before receiving a seat.  If you have already been assigned a seat on your program, you will retain that seat.  Details on the application process are available from

http://www.uwosh.edu/oie/abroad/handbook/apply.php

If you are applying to more than one program (for example, Comparative Nursing & Healthcare in India AND Clinical Rotations in Chennai, India), the OIE will need two applications from you.  Once one application is completed and submitted, copy that application and update only the program name, course enrollment and other items which are different and submit the second application.

Although we have tested the system, we expect that some of you may still encounter difficulties.  Please call the OIE at (920) 424-0775 if you have any problems.  We would be more than happy to help you with your application and will be documenting issues so that we can address these.

Our special thanks goes out to Kim Nguyen in Administrative Computing and student intern Nathan Van Gheem for developing and implementing this system!

Our apologies to anyone receiving this message more than once.  We are emailing to all of our lists, and many of you may be on more than one.
