The 1st annual Wisconsin study abroad Re-Entry Conference will take place on Saturday, September 27th at UW-Madison at the Lowell Center. Join study abroad returnees from across Wisconsin (and the globe!) to process your experience & learn about ways to put your international experience to work both at home and abroad. In the afternoon, there will be sessions on:

afternoon. Dr. Florence Chenoweth will be the keynote speaker during lunch. Dr. Chenoweth is the Division of International Studies distinguished international visitor and Managing Director, UW Human Rights Initiative. She was the first woman appointed to serve as Minister of Agriculture in her native Liberia, and served as the United Nations Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) representative in Gambia, South Africa, and to the UN in New York where she was also the Executive Director of the FAO Liaison office. Dr. Chenoweth received a masters of science degree in 1970 and a Ph.D. in land resources in 1986, both from the UW-Madison, and was awarded an honorary degree in 2006 for helping to carry the Wisconsin Idea around the world through her work to promote human rights. http://www.uwec.edu/cie/sac/Returnees/reentryconf.htm Registration is now open.
