[International] position announcement: study abroad administrator at UWM (INTLJOB)

Study Abroad Administrator
Center for International Education | University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee

The Center for International Education seeks a full-time Study Abroad Administrator to implement academic and non-academic student services related to UWM's broad range of overseas programs.  While serving as administrative program coordinator, liaison to UWM faculty and student services office, and advisor to students, the Study Abroad Administrator utilizes comprehensive knowledge of UWM's array of study abroad programs and student exchanges, as well as the countries in which they take place.

Responsibilities:  Duties include: advising and planning related to UWM education abroad programs; coordinating education abroad services for students from all UWM schools and colleges, as well as for exchange students from partner universities; supervising student workers; recruiting students and marketing UWM study abroad programs; assisting with special projects and other duties as assigned.

Required
.	bachelor's degree;
.	strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills;
.	excellent data management skills; and
.	substantive cross-cultural and/or international experience.

Preferred
.	supervisory experience in an office setting;
.	experience working in a professional capacity with faculty and students;
.	student advising experience;
.	a graduate degree in a related field;
.	prior study abroad experience; and
.	intermediate proficiency in at least one foreign language.

Knowledge of UWM advising practices and degree programs is desirable.

Compensation: This is a full-time (12-month) appointment with excellent benefits.  
Salary is commensurate with qualifications and experience.
