Applications for the 2004-2005 Individual Advanced Research Opportunities
(IARO) program are now available.
This program provides predoctoral and postdoctoral scholars with
fellowships for on-site humanities and policy-relevant research in Europe
and Eurasia for two to nine months. Funding for cross-regional humanities
research in Mongolia, Iran, and Turkey is also available.
Grants of one to three months are available to master's level students to
conduct significant research on policy-relevant topics in Europe and
Eurasia. These grants are from one to three months.
This program is funded by the United States Department of State (Title
VIII Program), the National Endowment for the Humanities, and IREX's own
Scholar Support Fund.
