The State Department's Office of Citizen Exchanges has announced grant competitions associated with development in Tibet, Africa & Turkey.  If you are interested or for more information, please contact the Office of Citizen Exchanges directly.

**Tibet Educational and Cultural Exchange Project Proposals--Deadline May 27**

The State Department's Office of Citizen Exchanges issued a notice requesting proposals in an open competition for Tibet Professional, Educational and Cultural Exchange Projects that focus on the themes of cultural preservation and economic self-sufficiency. Proposals are due no later than May 27, 2004. To view this notice, issued April 15, access:

**Africa Workforce Development Program Proposals--Deadline May 28**

The State Department's Office of Citizen Exchanges announced an open competition for grants to support a series of exchange and partnership development programs promoting Africa Workforce Development. Deadline for applications is May 28. To view this notice, issued April 15, access:

**Turkey Professional Exchange Program Proposals--Deadline June 10**

The State Department's Office of Citizen Exchanges announcing an open competition for Professional Exchange Programs in Turkey. Three to five grants will be awarded. Projects should target one of the following themes: Human rights law, media internships and women's leadership. Deadline for proposals is June 10. To view this notice, issued April 15, access:
