recruitment and students will be submitting applications in
November

We hope that you and your colleagues may be interested in
participating
in the selection process for the next group of UGRAD or Muskie
fellows.
We are currently collecting resumes from interested individuals who
possess:
* US citizenship, currently residing in the US;
* Expertise in or working with students from Eurasia; and
* Experience working with at least one of the following:
universities,
nongovernmental organizations, think tanks, international
development
agencies, governmental agencies, and/or private sector.
In addition, Muskie selection committee members should have expertise
in
one of the following fields:
Business Administration
Economics
Education

Public Policy
During the first round of selection, each committee member will
review
and score approximately 50-60 applications and will receive a
nominal
honoraria. This review will take place from mid-December to
mid-January.
From these scores, semifinalists for the program will be determined.
All
semifinalists will be interviewed in their home country in late
February
2005. A few members of the original US selection committee will
travel
to Eurasia to participate on the interview teams.
Please submit your resume by November 5, 2004 to IREX/AS at
resumes@irex.org if you are interested in participating. Please
indicate
if you are interested in traveling for interviews in addition to
reviewing applications. Those traveling overseas for interviewing
will
be notified by mid-December.
We encourage you to forward this message to your colleagues in
other
departments. Thank you for your continued support of the UGRAD and
Muskie programs.
