Lara's restaurant has replied to my email, and says that they can use soy cheese in place of dairy cheese (see below, or attached). It might cost a litte extra, but, as a vegan, I strongly prefer soy cheese. So, if it is not too late, please ask Lara's to use soy cheese in place of dairy cheese. This would make a big difference with Mexican food, which is so full of cheese.

I received your e-mail last Friday and called the 235-4887 number. I left a message with a lady saying that we would be more than happy to work with you regarding a vegan catering. I hope you received the message. We have quite a few vegetarians that eat here at the restaurant and a few vegans as well, so there are dishes that we serve that work well for vegans.

 

I would need to speak with you directly to see what kind of meals you are interested in and what direction you would like to take this catering to,  i.e. complete meal, heavy appetizers, desserts etc. I also need to price out soy based products such as the cheese, tofu, etc. before I could give you a specific price, but I'm certainly willing to do that once I have more information. 

 

We are very flexible here when it comes to our catering and work with our customers until they have a menu they are comfortable and happy with. Please feel free to call me if you are interested.
