- Subject: OSA Adopted Family a huge Success!

The 2nd Annual Oshkosh Student Association (OSA) Adopt-A-Family project is
complete. Over $2,600 was raised to purchase necessities and gifts for two
families who are not as well off financially during this holiday
season. Last year, OSA collected over $900 to purchase these necessities
for its family of five. This year, OSA adopted two families, instead of
one. The adopted families this year consist of one family of ten members,
8 children and 2 parents, and one family of six individuals, 4 children and
2 parents.
OSA wants to graciously thank every individual and organization which
donated money for this project. Several organizations were instrumental by
donating funds, including: American Marketing Association, College
Democrats, College Republicans, Gamma Phi Beta, InterFraternity Council,
Phi Mu, Rainbow Alliance for HOPE, Society for Human Resource Management,
Stevans Complex, Student Environmental Action Coalition, Student Wisconsin
Education Association, Titan Volunteers, and UWO Circle K. Special thanks
also go to K-Mart for offering OSA a discount to purchase much of the
necessities the families required.
OSA truly appreciates the giving spirit of the season which helped surpass
last year's amount.
