>Background
>The Massachusetts Technology Collaborative (MTC, <http://www.mtpc.org>), an
>independent economic development agency chartered by the Commonwealth to
>serve as a catalyst for growing the state's innovation economy, is funding
>the Harvard Green Campus Initiative's prepartion of case studies to
>document the lessons learned from the green buildings and green schools
>projects funded by the Renewable Energy Trust. These case studies will be
>used to document and disseminate information and lessons learned to a broad
>range of professional and general audiences.

>Duties and Responsibilities
>This position reports to the Harvard Green Campus Initiative Project
>Coordinator responsible for the MTC Case Study Project. The research
>assistant engage with a number of project sites to secure quantitative and
>qualitative data from a range of innovative green buildings and renewable
>energy projects funded through the MTC. The research assistant will
>participate in developing engaging educational media that tell the full
>story behind the collected data in order to maximize the positive flow on
>effects of each project. Using required analysis techniques and templates,
>the research assistant will generate case studies that should prove to be
>rich, relevant, and professionally produced teaching tools, focusing on
>particular aspects of the assigned green building projects with the
>eventual purpose of educating on the benefits around onsite renewable
>energy technologies. The case study research process provides a highly
>valuable training opportunity for an intern interested in green building
>and renewable energy.

>Skills and Education
>* BA/BS required;
>* Background in renewable energy and green buildings a plus;
>* Must be creative and entrepreneurial with a high level of energy
>and initiative;
>* Excellent interpersonal and communication skills required;
>* Demonstrated ability to collect data and synthesize findings in an
>instructional and creative way;
>* Ability to work as a team member and independently;
>* Proven organizational skills;
>* Ability to work with shifting priorities and schedules;
>* Experience with digital video a plus, but not mandatory.
