[WAC-list] Mtg. Tomorrow and other news

Apparently this last email did not reach all of you, so here goes again!
Also, a reminder of our MEETING TOMORROW AT 3 PM.

Our last gathering at Emilie's house was fun and productive! A lot of business 
was taken care of, including:
Updates on Minnie Bruce Pratt, she is for sure coming, and if you would like 
to help Andrea arrange things for her, let her know ASAP.
We also addressed going to the March for Women's Lives in April. Nothing 
definitive was set about that, since some of the technicalities, cost, 
transportation, etc. would need to be worked out. Also, we are buying about 12 
new shirts, so if you don't have one, but want one, we're going to sell them 
for $20 at profit. We also want to check into the possiblity of working with 
the Multicultural Education Center (MEC). By hooking up with them, we could 
co-sponsor a lot of things, and help each other out with programs, etc. The 
idea kind of immediately would be work with them on a calendar for March, 
Women's History Month, because they always put one out for February, Black 
History Month. It would be really helpful to have a person to be our main 
contact with the group, so that there would be consistency in our dealings. If 
you're interested, please let us know, your help and commitment would be 
greatly appreciated! Also, Emilie expressed interest in woking with Campus 
Awareness for Relationship Education (CARE) to come up with a survey that 
could be mass-emailed out that would be about sexual assualt. Also, to go 
along, it would be cool to have a "poster campaign" that would have surprising 
facts, etc. about sexual assualt. Emilie also expressed an interest in coming 
up with a comprehensive WAC flyer that would be on hand for things. Looking 
forward....
To our NEXT MEETING
THURSDAY FEBRUARY 5TH ROOOM 207
We'll book the room for 2:30, and then start our agenda right away at 3pm, so 
we can be done by 3:45, or 4:00. So, please note this TIME CHANGE in your 
agendas/mind. At this meeting, we will be planning our next meeting, on the 
12th, which will be to recruit new members. I believe the plan is that we will 
have a table starting c. 11 AM on the 12th, inviting people to the meeting at 
3pm. This will be discussed more on the 5th, so please try to attend, and to 
be on time. Another change is that things will be more orderly this semester. 
So, if you want to discuss anything at the meetings, please let Andrea or 
Julie know A WEEK BEFORE, so they can add it on the agenda. After February, we 
want to have a SHIRT DAY... the first Thursday of every month, we want 
everyone to wear their WAC shirts, so that our group gets more face time. 
Also, we want everyone to wear their shirts Feb. 12th, for new recruit day! 
Well, I think that that is about it for now... Start thinking of things/events 
for next year!
