Well, the recruitment meeting wasn't as large as might have been hoped for.
Although there were some new people there, they were friends. But, it's okay.
It's important that we just put ourselves out there so people know we exist.
Hopefully all the events in March will help with that as well.

Jess told us about an opportunity, perhaps in March, to help bring Diedre
McCall(e) to campus. This could be a joint effort with the MEC and HOPE. She's
a black, lesbian, feminist folk singer. Her cost is $1500, but divided by 3,
it's only $500. So, we should definitely keep this in mind.

Update on t-shirts: 12 more have been ordered and only cost $10 each.

Minnie Bruce Pratt is scheduled to speak in Reeve 202 at 7pm on March 10th.
So, make sure you come! Also, next week, there will be flyers in the SLIC, so
pick some up and distribute/post them! The venue is going to be set up for 150
people, so, we want people there.

Danay Davis is for sure coming March 26th for Women's History Month. More
details on this later.

The Vagina Monologues are Feb.. 26, 27, 28 at 8:30. If you're interested in
helping out, there is an informational meeting tomorrow, Mon.. 16 at 9:30 p.m.
in the basement of Evans Hall. It's asked that you bring $7.50 to buy a "Don't
touch the vaginas shirt." If you don't want to/can't volunteer, please make an
effort to go to one of the shows!

Basically, it seems we've all decided we're too poor or too busy to go to the
March on Washington in April. So, if you're interested in going, it's going to
have to be an individual thing, or to get hooked up with a different school.

We're planning on having a FUN event on Sunday, April 18th. We're going to go
bowling circa 1 p.m.. So, keep the date open! Not exactly sure which bowling
alley we're going to (I had to leave before discussion ended, sorry). But,
there's time still to nail that down, but keep the date in mind.

Next meeting: Thursday, Feb.. 19th, 3pm, Reeve 207. We're going to be talking
about what we're going to do for that case in Reeve by Titan Central. Hope to
see you all there!
Have a good week,
Carolyn
