[WAC-list] donating to the Vagina Monologues update

Everyone--

Okay, now I just got done talking to Jenni, and she said that they *would* be able to use our money, if they could have the posters billed to us. So, I told her to go ahead and do that. She thinks the total will be about $160. I said that would be okay, since we had talked about giving them more money if necessary. Also, the posters will have our name on them, because it’s required by allocations if we’re paying for the posters.

Sorry about the confusion. Talk to you all on Thursday.

Subject: donating to the Vagina Monologues

Hey Everybody—

I just finished talking to Kayte, one of the people working on the Vagina Monologues. She said that we cannot donate money to them (allocations rules). So, one thing she suggested that we could do to help them out was that to give them some of our bumper stickers to sell. I told her we could do that, and that I could let her know if we thought of anything else that we could do to help them out. If anyone has any other suggestions, please let me know, and I will forward them on to her. Also, their flyers are being printed now, and they didn’t put our name on them, although we will still probably be able to get our name out at the event. She also suggested that we could make up and distribute some flyers ourselves that advertise the event and have the WAC name. If anyone is interested in doing that, let me know. Personally, I think it sounds like a lot of work if the flyers most people see will be theirs anyway, and if we are also going to be able to have our name out at the event, but I’m open to others’ views on the subject. If we did do it, we’d need a few volunteers to help with sign making and distribution. Anyone who is interested, get back to me.

Take care,

Andrea Shay
