Well, Advocates,

Monday's meeting was FABULOUS and was a great reminder as to just what is so wonderful and fulfilling about being the WAC OSA representative.

 

At the meeting, we voted on a couple of resolutions.( I will advance the minutes.) One resolution, essentially a movement to show our support for AB-95, drew a lengthy debate.  As your representative, I spoke on behalf of the measure, and it was awesome to hear everyone's opinion, and to learn more about the bill. It passed by a wide margin...always a good feeling when you are on the winning side.

 

Also, someone sent a member of the AT staff to me for a mini point / counterpoint article on the topic.  Fun!  (See all the fun you will be having next year if you do this? And what about the resume building...must consider that.)

 

Drop by a WAC meeting one of these Thursdays, and see what other kinds of nifty things you can participate in. Or, if you can't make the meetings, but still want to help out with any of the fun, email me, or Andrea, or the LIST.

Soon, we will be getting together to decorate the case in the common area for Women's History Month. I am sure their will be plenty of good will---and snacks---involved!
