[WAC-list] EARTH WEEK

I thought that I would offer a quick overview of the events for Earth Week.  
I know that Bob and I quickly went through it during your meeting, but here 
is what we have:

April 19 - 23  (Earth Week)

Monday:
    Art Fair (university art program, arts for kids, boys and girls club, 
Christine Ann Center childrens art, local art community)
    Environmental Panel (including envinronmental activists from groups 
such as Midwest Environmental Advocates, Clean WI, and others
    WI State university environmental group summit
    Music during the day


Tuesday:   3 - 6   Environmental Studies Senior Seminar Research Project 
Presentations
    Music during the day,  Undetermined MEC event

  NOTE!!!     This is the day when we would like to have an event in 
conjunction with th WAC.  Going further we could include the UWO Women's 
Center and any other organization that might be interested in what we're 
planning.  I want to leave the event up to you - whether you bring in a 
speaker, or have a party, or anything, while having it based on any topic 
you feel important and relevant.  I ask that you strongly consider hosting 
the event either before or after the ES presentations from 3 - 6.  The 
Campus Greens and SEAC will be able to offer personel support, financial 
support, and pretty much any other help you may need.  I ask that you 
seriously consider helping us with this, as your assistance will definitely 
add to the success of Earth Week.  Please, if you have any thoughts or

Wed:  Special Energy Conservation Day (events in the planning)
    Possible speaker such as Winona LaDuke.  Music in the evening at 
undetermined location

Thu:  Music during the day,   invitations have been sent to Peg 
Lautenshlager and Russ Feingold
    Also, High School outreach program for instructors  - environmental 
theme with possible speaker

Friday:  Celebration day involving music and local entertainers

Sat:  Roseanne Hoefel Run Walk Roll for Diversity  7:30 am - ???    We're in 
the process of trying to incorporate some other events following the race
