[WAC-list] Assistance Needed: Let's Make BGLAD Rock!
Hello HOPE and WAC Members, Supporters, Alumni and Friends,
BGLAD is April 12-18, 2004!
On behalf of the HOPE executive board I would like to offer you an
exciting opportunity to be part of BGLAD 2004 and the upcoming Drag
Show! We have been working very hard to provide quality programming and
events for the students, and in order to make these work we'll need
plenty of hands. Below is a list of the scheduled events and a brief
description. If you're interested in helping with one or more activities
or have questions, please respond via email as soon as possible. If you
have previously expressed an interest in a specific committee, your name
is listed below with that event.
Thank you in advance for all of your help.

Let Freedom Ring (Monday 4/12 at 2:00pm in Titan Underground)
This activity is a same-sex ceremony demonstration. In response to the
recent political topics, we'd like to present a tasteful portrayal of
what a commitment ceremony can look like. We are looking for volunteers,
including people to act as the couple and presider.
Currently Interested: Alex Langkau, Jen Hammerly, Sarah Quade
Queer Eye (Monday 4/12 at 8:00pm in Reeve Union Ballroom)
Our program, inspired by the popular tv show, will make over one male
and one female student and feature our own "Fab Five." If you are
interested in nominating yourself or someone you know to be made over or
apply for the "Fab Five," please visit the HOPE website (hope@uwosh.edu)
and download an application. We are also looking for people to help with
set-up and running equipment, as well as being available on "makeover
day" (April 10th).
Currently Interested: Crystal Heckert, Jen Hammerly, D.J. Fencsik,
Sarah
Quade, Danyelle Thompson
Crazy World (Wednesday 4/14 11:00am-1:00pm Reeve Concourse)
Without giving too much away, just think about the "Crazy World"
commercials regarding the tabacco industry. This event will take
inspiration from that campaign and other areas. Self-confident people
need apply!
Currently Interested: Jes Berndt, Danyelle Thompson, Jen Hammerly
Drag Show (Wednesday 4/14 at 8:00pm in Albee Gym)
This ever-popular program has grown so much, we had to move to a bigger
venue! The extravanganza will feature our faithful performers and some
new faces, and we'll need a lot of help with this. The following
committees are available for the drag show. Come help us out!
Facilities/Lighting/Sound: Alex Langkau, D.J. Fencsik
Funding/Concessions/Ticket Sales: Jes Berndt, Danyelle Thompson
Publicity: Josh Bratz, Brandon Oechsner
*Sarah Quade where needed*
