As a declared English major at UWO, you have been automatically subscribed to the "engmajors-list" discussion group. This is a forum for English majors to discuss issues that may be of interest to them and for the English department to keep English majors informed of happenings within the department, including announcements of new classes, information about upcoming events, etc. Every time someone sends an email message to the address engmajors-list@lists.uwosh.edu a copy of that message gets sent to everyone who is subscribed to the list (i.e., all UWO English majors). To send a message to the list, simply send it as you normally would send email and put engmajors-list@lists.uwosh.edu into the "To:" line. If you want to respond to a message that someone has sent to the list, simply use the "Reply" command. By default, your reply will be sent to the entire list. If you have any questions about this discussion list or run into any problems with it, call Cary Henson at 424-7282 or email him at the following address: henson@uwosh.edu NO faculty members are subscribed to the list. The list is set up so that we can post messages to the list, but we will not receive copies of any messages sent to it (including the ones we post). Occasionally, the administrator will receive a copy of a "bounced" message (one that the server cannot post for some reason), so we cannot guarantee COMPLETE confidentiality, but you should feel free to discuss matters that are important to you with the assurance that no faculty members will be "listening in." Use this list to post information that other English majors may want to know about, or to discuss readings in your classes, or to ask for help. Use it in any way that will be useful to you. To post a message to all the list members, send email to engmajors-list@lists.uwosh.edu. You can subscribe to the list, or change your existing subscription, in the sections below.
Subscribing to Engmajors-list
Subscribe to Engmajors-list by filling out the following form. This is a closed list, which means your subscription will be held for approval. You will be notified of the list moderator's decision by email. This is also a hidden list, which means that the list of members is available only to the list administrator. Your email address:   Your name (optional):   You may enter a privacy password below. This provides only mild security, but should prevent others from messing with your subscription. Do not use a valuable password as it will occasionally be emailed back to you in cleartext. If you choose not to enter a password, one will be automatically generated for you, and it will be sent to you once you've confirmed your subscription.
