The next meeting is on how to develop simple games using java and it is located in Halsey 202 this Wednesday at 5:30. Also, remember that the Linux Informfest is coming up in less than two weeks. The event will be held on Saturday, November 4th starting at noon and going until five or so. In order to have these posters available for guests to preview we must make them! If you could please spare some time between today and Friday to make a short trip down to the Linux Lab and prepare a poster it would be much appreciated. Poster board and supplies are available on the counter. I know there are many talented cs majors with artistic abilities, it is time to show off you creative skills and create a spectacular poster! Suggested topics: -Guess what the application is/Equivalent applications : show a picture of a Linux app and allow them to lift up the image to see the windows equivalent -What is Open Source/Free/Free Libre (Licensing) -Time line of open source history -Benefits of using Linux -Another topic you think is important And don't forget to come to the Linux InformFest this weekend!! We will be having an Exec meeting this Wednesday night at 5:30. You are welcome to join us. We will spend much of the time creating posters.
