He planned to major in computers "for the money," he says. Now, he's less sure." I say, that's what you get for picking a major based on how much you'd make. He probably wouldn't make it through Data Structures, and even if he did, he'd probably be a horrible co-worker in the industry because he'd have no passion for it. Your major should be something you are interested in, not what you think will make you money. -Brian -- __________________________________________________________ Sign-up for your own FREE Personalized E-mail at Mail.com http://www.mail.com/?sr=signup From bogus@does.not.exist.com Wed Dec 26 11:42:09 2007 From: bogus@does.not.exist.com () Date: Wed, 26 Dec 2007 17:42:09 -0000 Subject: No subject Message-ID: Informfest speeches (I think, Daniel), and on the following Saturday will be the actual Informfest/Installfest day in which people that want Linux on their computers or have problems with it can bring them in and we can help. I still need to get a room for all of that, but all of it should be in Reeve this year. Finally, I've been doing some talking to people and Dr. Naps, and I've realized that our Wed. 7:00pm time is a bad time for many people who would like to attend, especially commuter students (especially ones from places like Fond du Lac.) Remember the first meeting? We may not be able to achieve the same numbers again, but we should be able to get an attendance that's closer to that than what we're getting now. I propose that we have another meeting at some other time, possibly with a different set of people running that meeting. The only obligation then would be just to attend one of the meetings, but not necessarily both, this would include officers. Rene PS There were some things about the next meeting that Daniel wanted to talk about. Things have changed a bit, but I'm not sure of all the details. This is just to give you a heads up. -- rhorn at sdf.lonestar.org, hornr18 at uwosh.edu (UW-Oshkosh email address) http://rhorn.unixcab.org - a bunch of experimental stuff SDF Public Access UNIX System - http://sdf.lonestar.org Jay Leno in response to Colin Powell's deadline for an Iraqi constitution: "They can take ours.
