From kisubi at uwosh.edu Mon Jul 16 07:23:44 2007 From: kisubi at uwosh.edu (Alfred Kisubi) Date: Mon, 16 Jul 2007 07:23:44 -0500 Subject: [International] Winter interim in Kenya Message-ID: Dear International Listserv Members: As a result of my research, which started way back when I was still in grad school, I'm interested in taking students from UW Oshkosh to Universities in the East African region for research and learning about the region in various subjects including education, human services, development and Environmental studies, nursing and even politics and economics of the region. As a result I developed the Spring Seminar On Globalization: Africa's Experience in Kenya at Eggerton University as a vehicle for collaboration in scholarship and research between Kenyans and Americans. I encourage you to look at http://www.uwosh.edu/oie/EKENY.html and find out details on how to register this summer, financial aid packages and other relevant information about the program. E-mail the Office of International Education at oie at uwosh.edu or call 424 0775 for more information. The earlier you apply the cheaper the plane tickets and the more time you have to apply for grants. Please encourage your friends to join you in traveling with me on January 7th - 27th for your Winter Interim studies. You get a chance to enjoy the courtesy of the warmth of the tropics in the dead of winter! Human services students can earn their Intermediate and Major field placement credits on this memorable trip. Others can earn graduate credits in our Education Leadership and Certificate of Global Education Courses. Come one Come all! The sooner the better. Alfred T.
