LTDC Colleagues,

Just a friendly reminder to please join us on February 11, 2005 for a
WisLine Web conference featuring Nancy Chick, a UW-Barron County Associate Professor of English and former UW Teaching Fellow. Nancy, who is richly experienced in her topic, will discuss Facilitating Effective Discussions
When Teaching with Technology. This two-part series, which includes a
WisLine Web presentation and an online discussion, is the second in this year's professional development series under our Scholarship of Teaching and Learning with Technology (SoTLT) initiative. The WisLine Web discussion is
scheduled for 10:00 - 11:00 a.m. on February 11, 2005. The online
discussion, which gives participants an opportunity to practice effective
online discussion techniques, will run from February 14 - 20, 2005.

To register for this event, please go to the project web pages at
http://www.uwex.edu/twt/. Many of you are familiar with the web site from having participated in our virtual community of scholars discussions. If you have not previously registered at the web site, I encourage you to do so when you register for Nancy's WisLine Web presentation. That way, you'll also be registered to participate in the online discussion portion of her

The WisLine Web conference featuring Dr. Chick is available at no cost to participants, underwritten by our SoTLT grant. You can participate from the convenience of your office! Or, a group of you could register and reserve a
room where you can project her WisLine Web presentation for all to see,
while sharing a speaker phone.

Thank you for your interest in and support of our Scholarship of Teaching
and Learning with Technology initiative!
