Writing a Professional Development Plan for a PI 34 License

For music educators holding a Wisconsin Initial Educator License and working toward the Wisconsin Professional Educator License. Participants will engage in the process of writing and implementing a professional development plan (PDP) over a three-year period. Music educators who already hold a professional license may also take this course to learn about the PI 34 license and their potential role as mentor, PDP team member or changing their license renewal to PDP plan. Areas to be covered include role of the mentor, role of PDP team, reflective practice as a foundation of professional development, collaboration, student achievement and assessment, goal setting for professional development and the Wisconsin teacher standards. Graduate credit is available for those who register and attend all three workshop dates. Note: This is year one of three for this program. Participants will work as a cohort group for the three sessions this year and, should they choose, they may register and continue working in this cohort for three additional sessions in year two and three additional sessions in year three.

Year 1 - January 14, February 25 and April 1, 10 a.m. – 4 p.m.
Cost: $155 (includes all three dates and lunch each day)
